GAME RESERVES:
Central Kalahari Game Reserve
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve was created for the Sans Bushmen and is one of the largest game reserves in the world. It protects an area of some 52 800 square kilometres in the centre of Botswana.
The reserve is a major refuge for animals including the Cheetah, Lion, Blue Wildebeest, Giraffe, Wild Dog, Leopard, Springok, Eland, Kudu and Gemsbok.

Khama Rhino Sanctuary
The Khama Rhino Sanctuary began in 1992 in an effort to conserve the Rhinoceros and re-establish the original environment of the site. The site covers 9 300 hectares and protects White Rhinoceros, Giraffe, Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Eland, Kudu, Springok, Impala, Gemsbok, Leopard and some 230 different bird species have been identified.
