INTRODUCTION:
The Kingdom of Swaziland is one of Africa's smallest countries (about 17 300 square kilometres) and is bordered by both South Africa and Mozambiqe. The country has a population of about 1.1 million people.
GAME RESERVES:
Malolotja Nature Reserve
The Malolotja Nature Reserve protects an area of some 18 000 hectares of rugged wilderness. The reserve is home to over 280 different bird species, Vervet Monkeys, Leopards, Wildebeest and Zebras. See http://www.sntc.org.sz/checklst/mamamch.html for more details of the wildlife in the reserve.
The reserve boasts an impressive 27 waterfalls, including Swaziland's highest, the 110 metre Malolotja Falls.
The oldest mine in the world is also to be found in the Malolotja Nature Reserve, thought to be many thousands of years old.

Mantenga Nature Reserve
Mantenga Nature Reserve protects an area of some 725 hectares, including the Mantenga Falls. The reserve protects Baboons, Vervet Monkeys, Kudu and possibly Leopards.
The reserve is also home to the Swazi Cultural Village, which is a recreation of Swazi life 150 years ago.

Mbuluzi Game Reserve
The reserve is home to Waterbuck, Giraffe, Hippos, Kudu, Wildebeest, Grysbok, Crocodiles and Zebras.

Mkhaya Game Reserve
Mkhaya Game Reserve is an important wildlife refuge protecting Sable Antelopes, Black Rhinoceros, White Rhinoceros, Elephants and Nguni Cattle.

Mlawula Nature Reserve
The Mlawula Nature Reserve protects some 16 500 hectares. Some 350 plus species of bird are to be found in the reserve, as well as Giraffe, Wildebeest, Kudu, Zebra and the Grysbok.

Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary
Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary was Swaziland's first protected wildlife reserve. It now protects some 14 500 hectares and is home to Giraffes, White Rhinoceros, Elands, Hippos, Blue Wildebeest, Impala and Zebras.

Muti-Muti Nature Reserve
Phophonyane Nature Reserve
Though the reserve is of only a small size, about 500 hectares, it is home to a large number of bird species - about 220 species.

Hlane National Park
Hlane National Park protects an area of 30 000 hectares and is home to a large population of Black Rhinoceros, as well as White Rhinoceros, Lions, Elephants, Sable Antelopes, Giraffes, Elephants, Crocodiles, etc.
