WHAT'S ON THIS PAGE:
INTRODUCTION:
Cudgen Nature Reserve is found off Cudgen Road and Tweed Coast Road. Access can be gained from a variety of routes including Tweed Coast Road and Clothiers Creek Road to the south of Kingscliff.
This nature reserve of about 464 hectares protects areas of rainforest and various wetland types. Birds and animals within the reserve include threatened Frog species, the Glossy Black Cockatoo, Koalas, Osprey and several Bat species.
An area near Cudgen Lake also preserves an Aboriginal stone quarry.
WALKING:
Round Mountain:
A climb of Round Mountain provides excellent views of the surrounding area, including Mt Warning.
