WHAT'S ON THIS PAGE:
INTRODUCTION:
Goobang National Park is located 30km north east of Parkes. It protects about 42 000 hectares.
The Goobang National Park is an important conservation area in the central west. It helps to preserve a number of threated and rare plants and wildlife species.
The park also preserves areas of historical significance, including sites associated with Aboriginal (Wiradjuri) occupation and European land use (logging).

ATTRACTIONS/WALKS:
The Goobang National Park is a somewhat remote national park. One of the attractions of the park is the 4WD opportunities in the national park. One of the 4wd routes is between the Wanda Wandong Camping Area and Gingham Gap. Of course the 4WD route can also be walked. Mountain bike riding is also popular.
Caloma Trig Walk:
The Caloma Trig Walk is really a 4WD route, via the 4WD route that links Wanda Wandong Camping Area with Gigham Gap. The walk is about a half day return walk. There are picnic tables at the top of Caloma Trig.
CAMPING FACILITIES:
Greenbah Creek Camping Area:
The Greenbah Creek Camping Area is located towards the north of the park. The camping area includes wheelchair access, picnic facilities and toilets.
Wanda Wandong Camping Area:
The Wanda Wandong Camping Area is located in the north of the park. The camping area includes wheelchair access, picnic facilities and toilets.
