WHAT'S ON THIS PAGE:
INTRODUCTION:
The main part of the state forest is known as Rummery Park and this is accessed via Nightcap Forest Road and Peate's Mountain Road.
The Whian Whian Forest Drive makes its way from Minyon Falls through the Whian Whian State Forest. Whian Whian State Forest is reached via Minyon Drive.
CAMPING:
Rummery Park:
Facilities include picnic facilities, showers, toilets and shelters.
WALKING:
Peate's Mountain Lookout:
The walk starts at Rummery Park. The walk is a 6km walk, taking about 2 hours to complete. On top of Peates Mountain is a lookout taking in the surrounding country.
Boggy Creek Walk:
The walk starts at Rummery Park. This walk begins at Rummery Park and is a 4km return walk, taking about 1.5 hours to complete. There are a number of waterfalls to be found along Boggy Creek. The track leads to Minyon Falls.
Eastern Boundary Track:
The walk starts at Rummery Park. This is a 5km return walk taking about 1.5 hours to complete. The track leads to Minyon Falls.
Minyon Falls Track:
This walk begins from the Minyon Falls Picnic Area or can be begun from Rummery Park 2km away (a track connects the two). The Falls are 100m high. The track to the base of the falls passes Quandong Falls (where a track leads to Quandong Falls). The walk to the base of Minyon Falls is relatively simple, but the return is a hard slog back up hill. The complete walk is about 10km and can take 4 hours to complete.

Minyon Grass Picnic Area:
Minyon Grass Picnic Area is found further along Minyon Drive and is maintained by Lismore Council. The walk to the base of Minyon Falls can be carried out from here and is a 4km return walk (about 1 hour).
