INTRODUCTION

Bollen is a very small outback Queensland town located some 180km east of Cunnamulla. It is reached via the Balonne Highway (yes, it is a bitumen road).

Bollen's humble beginnings can be traced to 1879 when the initial lots for the town were sold. The town's heyday has been and gone and seems to be just hanging on.

ATTRACTIONS:

Bollon Regatta:

Almost the only attraction apart from the country itself is the Bollon Regatta. This is held on the first Saturday of each year.

CAMPING:

The only camping available near the town is along the banks of Wallam Creek. Showers can be had in the town's park - for free.
