WHAT'S ON THIS PAGE:
Strzelecki National Park is located on Flinders Island. Flinders Island is a 90km long island located between Tasmania and Victoria.
There are over 70 smaller islands surrounding Flinders Island.
Access to the island is gained by plane at Whitemark where a car can be rented. Planes are boarded at either Essedon or Moorabbin in Victoria, or Launceston in Tasmania. A sealed road connects the two major towns of Flinders Island.
ATTRACTIONS AND SITES TO VISIT:
Logans Lagoon:
Logan's Lagoon is found in the southern section of the island and teems with birdlife.
Patriarch's Wildlife Sanctuary:
The Patriarch's Wildlife Sanctuary is found in the southern section of the island and teems with birdlife, including the Cape Barren Goose.
Wybalenna:
Wybalenna is an historic site where the last full-blood Aboriginal people were 'herded.'
Mt Strzelecki Track:
This track leads to the summit of Mt Strzelecki and takes about 2 hours to complete. There are great views over the area from the top.
Trousers Point:
Trousers Point Camping Area is located in the Strzelecki National Park. It has toilets, BBQs and water.
Badger Corner:
Badger Corner Camping Area is located not far from Trousers Point.
Killiecrankie:
Killiecrankie Camping Area has toilets, BBQs and water available. There is a great white sandy beach not far from the camping area.
